Sharktopus is a 2010 Syfy original movie. It is considered one of the best of Syfy's low-budget original horror television films.
Plot[]
A military organization known as Blue Water creates a half shark, half octopus creature known as S-11 that is designed to be the military's next super weapon. However, after testing the S-11 near a speedboat, its collar that Blue Water used to control it is broken and S-11 escapes to Mexico where it begins killing beach-goers.
Dr. Nathan Sands, the creator of S-11, assigns one of Blue Water's former employees known as Andy Flynn to recapture S-11 and bring it back to Blue Water unharmed.
Notes[]
- It is rumored that Piranhaconda is the sequel to Sharktopus.
- Sharktopus received more attention from television viewers than the standard audience of a Syfy original movie.
- Mary Tessa Corman, daughter of "Sharktopus" producers Julie and Roger Corman, makes a cameo role as the Bungee Jump Girl .
