Bree's introduction

Following the film's opening credits, Bree is first shown in the film's opening sunbathing, bikini clad and on her towel, with her eyes closed on the beach of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico alongside a friend of hers.

Turning her head amd opening her eyes, Bree becomes appalled when she notices that her friend is nonchalantly texting on her phone. Asking her to put her device away for the occasion, Bree invites her friend for a swim in the beach waters, only for the latter to refuse as she thinks there are bacteria infested fish. Rolling her eyes at her companion, Bree states that she's missing out. Wanting to cool off from soaking up the sun, Bree proceeds to leave her companion behind and jogs down to the water.

Diving in, Bree swims a great distance from the beach long enough for the ripples of her strokes closes her eyes, and lies on her back to relax on the water's surface with her feet relaxed, which attracts the unwanted attention of a Great White Shark.

Looking up for a moment, Bree's friend is the first to notice the shark's dorsal fin headed towards Bree and yells in warning. Seeing the aforementioned shark, Bree makes a frantic swim to the beach with the shark closing in to seal her fate....that is until a massive pair of tentacles from S-11 grab hold of the shark from below and eats it, seemingly saving Bree momentarily. Sharktopus then pursues Bree, but the collar implant on its head commands it to turn and head in another direction(controled by Dr. nathan sands).

Bree makes it back to the beach and hugs her firend into hers embrace, terrified that she was almost killed!

Bree and her friend watch Sharktopus vanish into the sea below. What happens to Bree is unknown for the rest of the film, that she and her friend are alive and safe for much of Sharktopus's rampage.

Relationships[]

Bree's Friend[]

The film doesn't show much of the relationship between Bree and her friend before the events unfold. Out of the two, Bree is the more adventurous and outgoing one, always encouraging her friend to join in on her activities. When Bree spots her friend glued to her phone, she tries to persuade her to come and swim in the beach waters. However, it's clear that Bree's friend deeply cares for her, especially when she spots a shark heading towards Bree. With all her might, Bree's friend alerts the other beachgoers until the unlikely intervention of Sharktopus. The relief and gratitude are palpable when Bree and her friend embrace each other tightly upon her safe return to the beach, solidifying their bond for everyone to see.

Trivia[]

• Bree resembles the girl on the Sharktopus movie cover being attacked by the titular creature as the two women are wearing similar bathing suits.

•Bree's exceptional speed in swimming away from both the incoming Great White Shark and Sharktopus strongly suggests that she is a professional freestyle swimmer.

• The underwater view shot from below when Bree is in the water can be seen as a nod/reference to Chrissie's last swim in the opening of Jaws. Luckly she escaped from the shark.
